Description: Ready to explore the world of SD Bad Intentions? Join us for our January orientation! This is one of two steps in our vetting process (the other being a munch), and you can complete them in any order. Learn about our events, expectations, and how we keep things safe, fun, and respectful.

Event Rules 

? Attendance & Check-In (Required)

• At the end of class, instructions will be provided for check-in:

  • Your first + last name

  • The email you use to register

• This is required to verify attendance and support your vetting process.

?? Camera Policy (Required)

• This is a trust-based learning space.

• Cameras must be on for the full class.

• This is a fully clothed, vanilla online environment (no kink play, no nudity).

• If you cannot be on camera for a valid reason (ex: children visible, privacy issue in the space), message the host before class to discuss accommodations.

• Wanting to stay anonymous is not an approved reason for camera-off in this class.

?? Zoom Name + Background Options

• You may:

  • Change your display name to your scene name or handle

  • Blur or change your background for comfort/privacy

• Your legal name is only required in your private check-in message.

?? Chat Etiquette (No Unsolicited DMs)

• Do not private message attendees you don’t already know.

• This is a classroom environment—unsolicited messages are not allowed.

• Use the main chat for class-related comments, questions, and helpful links.

• If someone messages you in a way that feels uncomfortable or inappropriate:

  • Notify the host immediately

  • We will follow up after class and take action as needed

?? Introductions / Answer to Questions (Keep It Light)

• You’ll be invited to share a brief intro or answer questions 
• Share only what you’re comfortable with.
• If you can’t use your mic, you can type your intro in the chat.

?? Respect, Consent, and Community Standards

• Be respectful, kind, and curious—everyone is here to learn.

• No shaming, pressuring, or “testing” others.

• Consent, inclusion, and authenticity are core values in this space.

??? Vetting Reminder

• Attending this orientation counts as one step toward vetting for SDBI private play parties.

• SDBI Approved Munch + SDBI Orientation = you are eligible to become a SDBI Member.

• We have some expectations so such as a munch you see us at and you check in with us there or travelers may require a different vetting. All Play Parties Attendees need a membership. 

• You do not need to be vetted to attend our classes or munches. 
  

• Kink Workshop is our sister organization, you do not need to be vetted to attend those events.

• Once fully vetted, you’ll be added to the our mailing list for invites.

• This class counts toward the event requirement for eligibility.

• We welcome respectful questions so ask us during the question time at the end of class.
